According to the statistical data presented by the National Bureau of Statistics, the trade flow between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova reached the amount of 5 022,5 M USD and increased by 39% compared with the Q3 of 2022. The European Union remains the main trading partner of the Republic of Moldova.

Moldovan exports to the European Union market constituted 1 941 M USD and has reached a share of 59,2% of total exports. Compared to Q3, 2021, Moldovan exports to EU increased by 50,5%

 

Out of all Moldovan exports to EU, Romania has a share of 48,1% (933,4 M USD), followed by Italy with 13,4% (259,3 M USD), Germany with 9,2% (178,6 mil. USD) and other EU countries.

In the Q3 2022, imports from EU to MD reached an amount of 3 081.5 M USD which represents a share of 45.7% of total Moldovan imports. Compared to Q3, 2021, imports from EU increased by 32.6%.

Out of all Moldovan imports from EU, Romania has a share of 36.8% (1 134 M USD), followed by Germany with 14.1% (434.3 M USD), Italy with 10.7% (330.3 M USD), Poland with 7.2% (223.1 M USD) and other EU Countries.
