"We are celebrating the five-year anniversary of the Association Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement implementation in the Republic of Moldova. Over the last two years, we have been implementing the "AA / DCFTA Visibility and Communication" project. It helped the broad public in the Republic of Moldova to better understand the opportunities that the DCFTA has already brought and which it can still bring to the economy and - more importantly - to the citizens of the country. The project has succeeded in bringing this very complex economic agreement closer to the citizens, both entrepreneurs and consumers, providing consistent information for businesses, as well as providing successful examples which speak for themselves – how the DCFTA contributes to a better quality of live. "Creat în Moldova, apreciat în lume" is a reality on which we have to continue working, to untap the great and still unused potential of this ambitious agreement, the implementation of which we will continue to support." said Urszula PAŁŁASZ, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation, Chargé d'affaires a.i. .
"The European Union's support for communicating the opportunities generated by the DCFTA is particularly important in order to capitalise fully on the Free Trade Agreement. Communication is essential to enable an environment in the Republic of Moldova to accelerate the implementation process. The International Conference “Implementation of the DCFTA Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova. 5 Years: Regional perspectives and the steps to follow” organised at the end of the Project is a great opportunity to share regional experiences on DCFTA implementation as well as to share recommendations for an even more effective capitalisation of this agreement in the coming period,", said Mr. Vadim Brînzan, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure.
The event was attended by over 80 participants, representatives of governmental institutions, the business community, international development projects, as well as by Moldovan mass media representatives.
