On 6-7 April the second workshop on law making, legal drafting and approximation to EU law was held. This event was organized by the EU-funded project “Support to the DCFTA process in the Republic of Moldova”.

Approximately 20 participants from the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure, Ministry of IT and Communications, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Safety, National Bank of Moldova, Bureau of Migration and Asylum, Security and Intelligence Service, Competition Council, Customs Service, National Commission on Financial Markets attended this workshop.

During this two days’ workshop, Mr. Ralf Juelich, the international Short-Term Expert of the DCFTA, introduced the relevant EU law making concepts and a brief overview of the EU law approximation process and presented the rule of law standards and the substance of a legal act and final provisions.

Also, he made a practical demonstration regarding law making, good legal drafting techniques and legal language and the special legal approximation requirements of the DCFTA.
