„There is a difficult period following, in which we need to do our best to stabilize the newly created market situation in Moldova. We already have action plans for the short- and medium-term therefore, we need your involvement to implement them successfully, as the Minister rests an enormous responsibility and an important role in this respect", the prime minister emphasized.

The Ministry of Economy, Stephane Christophe Bride, thanked for given trust and stressed the fact that he wants an effective collaboration with the ministry team, in order to proceed with the ongoing reforms.

The new Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, has come in politics from the private sector, previously holding the position of manager at “Grant Thornton” Ltd Moldova and Romania. Over the time, he has acquired over 20 years experience in accounting, auditing, tax and management consulting, holding numerous positions, including the position of Steering "EY Moldova" between 2006 – 2010, Adviser on Foreign Trade of France in Moldova in 2012, Vice President of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Moldova 2013-2014. In the past six years he led projects in banks and insurance companies in Moldova, working during his career for companies in France, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Romania, etc.

The Minister of Economy, Stephane Bride Christophe, is 44 years old and speaks Romanian, French, Spanish and English. He is married and has got one child.

On Wednesday Christophe Stephane Bride filed the investiture oath as Minister of Economy, in the presence of the President and the Prime Minister.
