The Ministry of Economy reorganizes the energy sector enterprises according to the European standards

According to Triboi, reorganizing the enterprises involved in electricity supply and distribution, especially the joint stock companies Red-Nord and Red Nord-Vest, where the state is a shareholder, according to the European model, falls under various international bodies and conventions, as well as the Acquis Communautaire.

According to the Vice-Minister of Economy, following the reorganization by dismantling, Red-Nord și Red Nord-Vest become distribution companies, and the Joint Stock Company ”Furnizarea Nord” becomes an electricity supplier.

Mariana Botezatu, the head of General Department for “Security and Energy Efficiency”, emphasized the fact that the reorganization of joint stock companies and creating a new enterprise do not suppose essential increase in staff. "These enterprises reorganization falls under the program of Moldovan energy efficiency & modernization, and adjustment to European standards.

For the development and implementation of these enterprises reorganization project, both the experience of Western partners and national legislative framework had been studied and consulted.
