On 28 November in Chisinau, will take place the presentation of the Handbook on DCFTA and Association Agreement (AA), including the launch of two other language versions - Romanian and Russian. This publication is one of a trilogy of Handbooks explaining the EU’s Association Agreements and DCFTAs with Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine and has been prepared by two teams of researchers and experts from CEPS in Brussels and Expert-Grup in Chișinău.

This event precedes the one in September in Brussels "Understanding the three DCFTAs and Association Agreements between the EU and Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine", were was launched the English version of the Handbooks.

This publication seeks to explain the contents of a long and complex legal treaty – the Association Agreement, which includes a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) – between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union (EU). Therefore, the purpose is to make it possible for anyone to understand what each chapter of the Agreement means, in terms of both the nature of the commitments that the parties take on and the prospects for their implementation.

These Handbooks are intended for professional readers, namely officials, parliamentarians, diplomats, business leaders, lawyers, consultants, think tanks, civil society organisations, university teachers, trainers, students and journalists. A much shorter version of this Handbook has been prepared with the aim of reaching a wider readership.
