Investment opportunities from Republic of Moldova were presented by Deputy Minister Vitalie Iurcu to Bulgarian entrepreneurs, within a Moldovan-Bulgarian business forum which was attended by over 40 representatives of the business community from Moldova and Bulgaria in fields such as trade, industry, engineering, agriculture, cosmetics etc.
During his welcoming speech, Vitalie Iurcu encouraged the Bulgarian entrepreneurs to start a business in our country, noting the business support opportunities initiated by the Government. At the same time, the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency and the Moldovan Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM).
Also, the parties welcomed the initiative of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Bulgarian Investments Agency and the Moldovan Investment and Export Promotion Organization (MIEPO). The Memorandum has been coordinated within the Moldovan-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation and is expected to be signed after ratification by the Bulgarian side.
The event has been organized by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the context of Moldovan-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation and has been conducted in Sofia, Bulgaria on 24-25 March 2016 with the signing of the seventh Protocol of the Moldovan-Bulgarian Intergovernmental Commission for economic cooperation. The document was signed by the Deputy Minister Vitalie Iurcu and his Bulgarian counterpart, Daniela Vezieva.
