On 24 October 2014, at the second meeting of donors attended by more than 40 representatives from theRM Government, various multilateral as well as bilateral donors, international organizations and business associations agreed to strengthen their collaboration in assisting the RM Government to implement DCFTA and to create for this purpose a DCFTA Donors’ Coordination Network (DDCN) to underpin a DCFTA Development Assistance Programme (DDAP). The meeting which was a follow-up to the initial meeting of donors held on 17 June 2014 was convened by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Moldovaand was organized by the EU-financed project “Support to the DCFTA Process in the Republic of Moldova” (DCFTA Project).
Key speakers at the event were Mr. Aneil Singh, Head of Operations Section from the EUD, Ms. Inga Ionesii, Director of the General Trade Policies Directorate of the Ministry of Economy, Ms. Speranta Olaru, Project Manager from the EUD and Dr. Louka Katseli, Senior Economic Expert for the DCFTA Project. Several representatives from the private sector or international donors also presented their current DCFTA-related activities (i.e. EBA, USAID, EBRD and MIEPO).
